When you add pics to your Display Picture, you can delete the picture from your computer and the picture will continue to be under your display pics.

How is this possible? is there anyway to recover these pics if you've long lost them?

I would think it stores it on the server because that is where your user profile is stored along with your mail, contacts, etc. Dunno about getting the pic back though.

Edit: No thats not right. I have a pic on my home computer but when I sign in at work with the same build, no pic is there so it must be cache oc the pc somewhere
