After hearing the reactions i got at my school when i did a school radio broadcast, I thought it would be a smash @$$ing thing to make the broadcast potentialy worldwide. I'm not trying to be full of myself, but when i did that school broadcast speaking about everything going on in the school including sports, You could litterally hear the shreaks of death, such as weeping and gnashing of teeth, (whitch was actually laughter from the people listening, ) rise higher and higher literally trying to pull me in, I told myself i would never make those people laugh again.

One guy said he allmost "let one loose" on the way to the bathroom as i made a joke about Ronald Ragen. (Whitch was not something i shure as hell didn't necisarally want to know about his: "Movements," but there you go.)

...Anyway, to make a long story short, everyone has been bothering me for WEEEEEEEEKS asking me to make a damn radio show they can hear on their laptops n' sh!t, but now i'm figuring: What the hell. Now, here's my dellema: How the heck do i start? I really don't want to set up a server or anything for this. so help me out. How do i make a radio webcast?

from http://www.shoutcast.com/support/docs/

SHOUTcast is a free-of-charge audio homesteading solution. It permits anyone on the internet to broadcast audio from their PC to listeners across the Internet or any other IP-based network (Office LANs, college campuses, etc.).

SHOUTcast's underlying technology for audio delivery is MPEG Layer 3, also known as MP3 technology. The SHOUTcast system can deliver audio in a live situation, or can deliver audio on-demand for archived broadcasts.

Damn! that serverCAST thing is pretty cool! I even used it as an FTP server.

And now i'm gonna test the DJ software. ;)

Be warned about playing copyrighted material- (I don't think anyone would care, though. Most people are probably unaware of this)

If youÂ’re playing major-label artists, you should learn about licensing fees, lest BritneyÂ’s lawyers come knocking. Refer to http://www.copyright.gov/carp to see what you owe.

I just read this today in Popular Science.

Here is the whole article on broadcasting web radio: http://www.popsci.com/popsci/how2/article/0,20967,1077322,00.html

"Dropping Kidneys..."

I set up the broadcasting part, but linking to my server so people can hear my broadcast is qw#r.

The toutorials give you the **king code, bit don't tell you how to use it or where to put your *** dam IP address or something that is ACTUALLY going to link to your own server to listen from!!

Somone just give me a demo of a code or something...
