I don't use the internet very much and therefore only had a 2gb download limit per month on my account. Recently however I seem to be going over my limit just by searching the web. I am currently with Sky Broadband and have only been paying £5 however now I have gone over the limit this has been increased to £12.50 unlimited.

I have downloaded the Broadband Download Monitor so hopefully that will help me however I was wondering whether there is something that would help me limit how much is being downloaded - i.e setting webpages to not show pictures or video automatically.

Please help - I really can't afford to pay anymore for my Broadband especially as I don't use it that often.

You have to check your browser settings for this. They have the options right within the browsers to stop image loading and loading of scripts and other things.
