LimeWire...Big Trap!!!

Ahhhhhh! I just downloaded a file, only it wasn't what it seemed. It contained illegal content (you can imagine what) !!!!. Big mistake using that program!!!!!!!!!! Now I'll have to completely erase my hard drive!!! Something I didn't want to do!

just about all files transfered via limewire is illegal.

you get a virus or illegal porn? either way you shouldn't have to erase your whole drive. You could either delete the file and use a scrubber app or do a virus cleanup.

I noticed that somethings has the name exactlly like you have typed in the search. So if you typed "image viewer program" somethings will be exactly "image viewer program" or "~~~~~~ image viewer program" and those contains spam or a virus. But it's not hard to figure out what is bad file and good files. But I don't use Limewire anymore except for music which I haven't run into anything bad.

just watch out for those 851.7kb files. i heard they contain bad viruses. and i wouldnt fret over one illegal file. just delete it. it was an accident anyway, right?

Deleting removes it from the tables that think it exists, Defraging just shifts data around. Even after these two steps, I ASSURE you, I can find it.

Out of curiousity, what sort of data were you trying to download?

Shouldnet download anything off of limewire.

anything off of limewire, kazaa, etc... all illegal. even if u pay for it. its still illegal. u just pay for faster downloads, and better searches. i just use yahoo music for listening to music.
