if caught ;)

Well, it's pretty easy to get caught out there. Your computer could be monitored by the White House right now :p

I'm sure that If you already own the said movie, you could download it. The same goes for CD's and emulators.

Actually, you can't. You can make a personal copy of it (which is now being fought over in court), but you can't legally download any movies except for those you purchase via download.

Im pretty sure that the only thing you can download legally are things that aren't copywrited in the US. So if your into anime go for the stuff that hasn't made it out of japan and into the living rooms of hyper ADHD americans. Oh, and the govenrment treats it kinda like drugs, they aren't as concerned with the person downloading, as they are the person supplying it.

Sending a DVD should be fine because that DVD is paid for and licensed yadda yadda yadda. Just like giving it as a present.

Although it seems more and more that the RIAA/MPAA are finding ways to break/rewrite the rules as they go. So even a single personal copy is questionable these days.

Watch your *ss and don't do anything stupid. And if you ever once ventured into this questionable activity, get a secure delete application to completely remove any traces of said activities from your pc.

Still can't really do that either without breaking the law,It's funny how people alway's say that it's legal as long as you own it well guess what - NOPE,To make a copy of a movie you first have to decrypt it right? No matter if you own it or not it's illegal to bybass the encryption's ;)
