java 1.5 applet won't work in firefox

I have several applets on my computer (all local) that I compiled under Java 1.4. They worked fine in both IE and firefox. I have since recompiled them under 1.5 and now they work in IE, but not in firefox. The version of firefox is 1.0.2.

I can't recompile under 1.4 as I no longer have the 1.4 SDK. What to do?

try uninstalling firefox and get a fresh copy of it, which there up to 1.0.6 now.

reinstall and see if that helps.

i had the same problem before but it works fine with ff1.0.6
