Hello I have got a new amd computer, i used to have a old tiny pc, both systems are completely diiferent, i had to get rid of the tiny pc as their was a fault with the c drive, and dont really need 2 pc's in such a small house, out of interest, when you got on the internet is your ip address being logged by each computer or your service from the home?
I am using broadband.

Thank-you

Lawrie

your ip address is your unqiue identifier for the inet. think of it as your street address for your house. When you send information out, example a letter, your computer tags the info with your ip, like writing a return address on the letter. The receiving party can do what they want with this address and if they need to contact you back they send it to the retuirn address.
