BetaNews says that MicrosoftÂ’s Internet Explorer 7 has hit the 100 million installs mark already. According to this article, that puts IE7 at number two behind IE6. Wow, that was fast.

Microsoft announced Friday it has hit the 100 million installation milestone for Internet Explorer 7, a figure that makes the new browser the second most used behind IE6. Web analytics firm WebSideStory reports that 25 percent of all Web surfers in the United States are now running IE7.

Wow.

How many installs on FF2 though? It's a much safer browser..

Good, but they should switch to Firefox. I can't believe how unsafe IE is.

IE7 is much safer than those that came before it.

Firefox can be safer, but mainly because those who know enough about the internet to choose Firefox also know enough to avoid the worst of what is out there.

Of course, 100 million. Microsoft added it in as a critical update...
