I recently installed a home network and internet connection and there is alot of fuss over firefox and IE all over the net. I really can't see the difference.

Can anyone help me decide on what to use?

Are there any pros/cons I should be aware of?

Are ther any debilitating bugs on any of the 2?

Which one do you use/recommend?

It all comes down to personal preference

I prefer IE7

IE7 is a high profile product since almost everyone uses it so its attacked more than other but the ALL have issues. Dont let anyone tell you different. Not one browser is any more secure than the next one. It all code and all code can be eploited, hacked, etc. Plain and simple

Well put, Warez. And very true.

I prefer FF, but I also realize that it ain't bulletproof.

of course any software can be hacked but its common knowledge that firefox is more secure, and a **** of a lot more customizable, with themes & extensions & slipstreaming firefox, I couldn't imagine using IE.

Well I used both browsers for a week and i think I like firefox better.

Thanks for all your help everyone!

Both IE7 and FF2.0 are good, and in my opinion they are much much better than opera 9.0

opera 9.0 doesn't have spell checker like FF2.0
opera 9.0 default theme doesn't look at good as IE7 and FF2.0
There are a lot of websites that doesn't render correctly in opera 9.0
