Hotmail and Firefox

I have a problem, i use firefox and whenever i go to hotmail.com and type in my email and password i get the message,
"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at login.live.com."
can someone please help me with this?

Try getting the extension IE Tab, and use it to open the link in IE through a tab in Firefox.
