Hi,

I have a question. I dunno if its relevant here in this space. But I need to close a paypal account.

I had a paypal account and the email which was linked to the account is hacked. I changed my primary email account but still I need to shut this account down. I don't know what worse could happen.

Anyone help me?

Are you able to log into the PayPal account still? if so, Log in, change the associated email, and remove your banking links. Should be an option to close/delete your account in your account settings on PayPal as well.

I have looked around but I cannot find that option to close account ... do you know under which tab can I find this information?

Click Settings in the top-right -> Scroll to the bottom, and it's a link in the "Account Options" section. The link is just "Close your account".

omg another problem. Help required.

I am creating a new account with a new email address and it says that user details already in the system. Cannot create a duplicate account.

What does this mean?

Can I now create a new paypal now?

You should probably call PayPal and see if you can recover the account.
