Hi,
I need to set up a rule for googlemail on the web ( not using an application like thunderbird). I want it so it responds to ANY e-mail sent to that address with a antoher e-mail ive already written - how can i do this as the options on the actuall website dont seem to give me the option to do this.

Also if i did manage to do this , when would the reply e-mail get sent out - when i logged into my account or when the e-mail was actually recieved in the first place?

Hope ive made myself clear - if i havent just say.
Thanks for any help in advance.

If you are not usign a application then you cant. It is a web based service and if they dont offer these services on the web site then you dont have any choice but to use a applicaiton that will allow you to do this.

Unfortunately that's correct...gmail has a vacation auto-responder but that's the only automatic reply functionality available. One of the drawbacks of web-based mail.

As far as i know this can only be done with a .redirect file & outlook, never seen it on a free web based host. Sorry.
