Google Calendar - Notifications

I have my Google calendar set up to not set a notification for new events by default, unless specified otherwise. When I go to set notifications for individual events however, the On-line help states that I should be able to do that under the Edit Event Details menu in the Options section, which for some reason only contains settings for "Show Me As" and "Privacy". Does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong?
