i recently lost one of my closest friends, and i have purposely never deleted any of our e-mails over about a 3 year period (he has been sick for several years). so i am moving all of them into one folder, and when i get that done, i want to burn the entire folder to a disc. as much of the e-mail discussions were technical in nature. i think i will be able to do the copy, paste and burn ok. but what i am wondering is if there is a way on g-mail to select only e-mails by one sender? it would save me a lot of time sorting thru all of these old e-mails.

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend, my deepest condolences...

I'm sure in gmail you can click the column "sender" or something like that so it orders it by who sent the email, so all his emails will be grouped together. You can alternatively do a search for his email address in the Gmail search, and it should filter the list of emails to those with his email address in it.

Apply a label to all the messages from his email address and they'll all be in 1 spot within GMail.
