firefox startup

there's this screen that's supposed to come in firefox when you press new tab which has links to all the pages you visist the most, what's that called? for the purposes of this page we'll call it the startup page, but googling that didnt seem to help!

anyway, so that page isnt appearing when i click the + to open a new tab. i cant seem to get it. please help

anytime I install firefox, one of the first things I load is the add-on that makes your homepage the default page when clicking to open a new tab.
