FireFox on OSX problem..

I've been using FF on OSX, and I was having some trouble with it, so I uninstalled Adblock, and I've tried to re-install it, and nothing happens. I click the install link and it pops up and tells me that it is going to install it into the browser, so I click "OK" or whatever, and nothing happens. I have tried this numerous times to no avail. I have done everything short of re-installing FF completely, but I haven't done that because I don't want to lose my bookmarks. Can someone help me?

Click Tools, Options, Web Features. Check the box in front of "Allow web sites to install software." Then click Allowed Sites.

Add the following websites to the list if they are not there:

addons.mozilla.org
ftp.mozilla.org
update.mozilla.org

This should fix your problem. I had the same thing not long ago. Seems like right after I went to 1.0.4, I think, so I guess that the installation changed the setting.

Are there a lot of extensions for macs? I mean, all of them or most are for windows?
