firefox not working properly

I've been using FireFox for a long time now...but since two months ago...linking does not work. If I click a program that should open up a browser, it won't. If I try to click on a link in a program...let's say...trillian, it won't work. The only ones that would work is Firefox itself and Gmail. I just want to know if there's anyone out there with the same problem and how to fix it. It's only a small bug, but it would be nice if it works again.

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

they have a new version out, give that a shot.

noo...i had 1.0.7, i believe, before 1.5.

so your saying that when you click on a link inside firefox that should open a program it won't open?
