Everytime I try using firefox, it comes up 'the connection was refused when attempting to contact (website)' or something along the lines of that, so I have to use IE. I've tried getting rid of firefox, and downloading it again, but it still won't work. It used to work fine.

Check your connection properties. It may be set for a proxy and you don't have one, or if you are using a proxy it may not be set for it.
I know when I had Earthlink, they would change proxy numbers every other week or so (but never let you know when...).

hmm... well since firefox is the only one that wont work... if trotter's suggestion didnt work try to get another browser..
