Firefox Not Saving Password

hey guys, i'm running firefox 3.0.8. Although all the previous versions had the same trouble. What the problem is it that on this site, tech-forums, it will not save the password. And also, i check the "auto login" button and it refuses to do it. So basically i have to log in 4-5 times a day to make various posts. My cookies are enabled and all that good jazz but i can't understand why it wont stay signed in like on the other sites
