Could well be why I didn't see it then. Just use IE6 to get updates. Use Opera 99% of the time.

Windows Update will only update the version you have installed. That is what it scans for to find the version you have and get you the appropriate update. Would be kinda pointless to get the IE7 update if you dont have it.

I'm guessing there isn't an update for IE8, as I can't find one and says I don't have any. I updated last week two days after Patch Tuesday.

There is a patch for IE8. But you have to get the new Partner Build of it. Which is the newest Beta. You have to uninstall the build you have and install that one. It was released on the 16th of Dec. If you need it Trotter let me know.

I only use for of those. numbers 1,2 and 12.

It's good to see MS patching the security flaws right away.. that has been their biggest downfall in the past.
amazing to see mozilla as the biggest loser.. who conducted this study anyway? MS? LOL JK
