I have a computer on my network that I'm using as a http server.

I have a Invision Power Board forum on it. Of course, to access it from my computer which is on the same network I would type the inside address of the server in my address bar.

Now, on the IPB forum when I login etc. it'll automatically redirect you to the outside IP address which, of course, works for everyone not on the same network, but doesn't work for me.

Also, proxy won't work. Already tried it. It keeps wanting to download the *.php files. :p If you know of a fix for that then please do tell.

Since I have that explained here's what I need to know. Anyone know of a add-on for Firefox that'll replace a certain part of a url with whatever I choose? Basically, it's so that I can swap the outside address for the inside address.

It'd make things a bit easier.

You don't see my dilemma here? It makes sense to me. :p

Ah well, I'll figure something out.

Edit: Fixed the proxy problem. So, problem solved.

How did you fix it?

The easiest way that I can think of would to simply add it to your hosts file:
In the directory:
-> C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
and open `hosts` with a text editor, adding your site to the list, such as:
-> 127.0.0.1 www.yourwebsite.net

I had the same problem...:)

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. Works great.

I "fixed" it by just trying a number of different proxies. Finally found one that wasn't too gay and worked properly.
