I have a PC 192.168.1.129 on the local network and i have a static ip from my ISP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx . I opened a port forwarding in the router lets consider the number xxxx and it worked great.... i do remote desktop connection and even i connect to SQL Server 2008 through internet the problem is when i try to type my static ip on the web browser i get an username & password prompt so i tried the router user&pass and the USER's on the pc user&pass but unfortunately all tries failed.I don't know if there anything to disable or if are there any other options to allow by the way i am disabling my windows firewall at both the server pc and the client and the client is totally connecting from another ISP connection and there are no internet security programs installed on both.Any help please??
