Download question

Hi, I use firefox as my browser and to download things. I am currently d/ling a file that is 2.2GB and it is suppose to take about 17 hours to completely d/l. The question I have is if I shutdown my computer and restart my computer tomorrow, can I continue with my d/l and if that is possible, will the file be successful or will it be corrupt/ please let me know. Has anyone tried this before?

Are you using a built in download manager? Firefox uses a semi decent one but i highly doubt that you will get a successful download.

You would need Down them All, Flash Get, or Free Download manager to be able to start and stop it without corruption i believe.

It also depends on the site your downloading from. I'm a Forum Admin over at Gamershell and our downloads don't support download managers.

17 hours to download 2.2GB? Are you using a 56k modem?
