Did you install the latest updates? Did you try using the Repair feature of IE under Internet Options>Advanced>Reset?

Not sure if my wife has installed the latest updates, would that be inluded with Automatic Windows Updates ? As for the second question, no I didn't try that yet, thanks, Mak ;)

Question, why download and run the Tool, when i gave the exact location for it? It is already located within IE's options so why get a separate tool to do the same thing?

The same tool will give you the option to fix it yourself and direct you to exactly where i said to go to reset IE.

IE8 freezing up on all search engines

Its because when I have stated the manual way to others in the past
I have received:
Where is the IE Toolbar?
Which Reset in button do I press?
I'm not sure if I did it right?
Where is "Internet Options" (as you didn't say "Tools"
I haven't done that, because I don't think it will work!

To save all these responses I just provide the tool to use, which others seem to take to well
It's like saying: Go to registry and locate and check all your startups from: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
Or just run this tool.... (startup control panel would do)

As the member replied: " I didn't try that yet"
I thought best to just provide the easy fix tool

Yeah and i have gotten the same types of responses hundreds of times. I still take the time to answer them. Some people actually want to learn this stuff for themself and not have it done for them. ;)
