I am currently on my older XP computer.
A 'Firefox junkie' friend came up with this solution (the first two images) for screen glare.
I asked & inquired about how he achieved this, but he won't tell.
( and yes, the 'Glass - Black' theme was installed a long time ago by me, not by him)
The 'about:config' option was not used by him, instead did something with the files in the Mozilla profiles folder in the 'Application Data' folder.

May be similar to what your friend did.

That just seems like a black and blue firefox theme to me. Maybe I am missing something.

It's theming the webpages, not just FireFox is what it's doing.
