Browsers Conflicts

I have IE, Opera and FF.

I use IE only for Windows Up-Dating and McAfee Online Scan.

The problem is that IE sits on my 'Google' Homepage and won't fetch my search or the URL I typed in.

Is it common for browsers to conflict with each other like this. Is this the problem. I have had IE working before with the other browsers though.

It's fine.

Just closed everything down;

Ran CCleaner;

Restarted.

Usually sorts out most annoyances.
