Broadband usage category - other?

I noticed in my ISP usage section that my general web surfing allowance during the day (I am unlimited from midnight to 8am) constitutes 0.68gb of my use so far this month. No other category comes close because I make sure not to use Youtube or VOIP during the day.

But 'other' comes in at an even bigger number of 0.96gb usage in about six days.

I get 10gb monthly to play with through the days.

I've tried looking online and even on the ISP website but I have no idea what this 'other' could constitute that I am directly using. It isn't web surfing, email, broadband phonecalls, gaming, streaming, FTP, p2p, so what might it be? I wanna reduce whatever it is I'm causing myself to lose amounts with.

I doubt it would be gmail chat surely?

Have you checked your downloaded programs/apps aren't needing connection when not in use. Alot update info constantly.

To my knowledge I have disabled Windows Update for example and I don't know what programs you would mean abuot?
