Hi i have got some archive pst file on the NAS drive and backup exec was running file till upto date. But now it fails wih "archive.pst" is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify.
few days back i ran some pst repair tools and 2 daily backup job came as successful and thought problem has been resolved but now again failing with same error and pointing to same pst file.
We are using backup exec 12 version. Status is failed but i can see the size of data it backed up (Byte count) ...is this backup totally failed or it is only failed for that particualr pst fle?

What is the solution for this problem?

I hate working with PST files, because when they corrupt it can be impossible to fix and people lose their data...

If it fails then i think the whole back up is failed, it would of backed up data until it hit the corrupted file then stopped.. it wont remove the half complete backup but just leave it there.. So remove it and either remove the PST or try and fix it.

I cant suggest anything in repairs of a PST that Gavillar has suggested..
But keep a back up of a back up, so you could of restored the corrupted PST to the other back up then run a new back up on it.
