I just read my older post on this. Once again....... where is it ??? The reply mentions user CP. Great - WHERE ?? Once again.... been around and around. See nothing on the left side, page after page....... noting the "User Control Panel" .

If you are in IE that is why you dont see the UserCP link. IE does not show it properly.

http://www.techist.com/forums/usercp.php

Go in there on the left side.

Or just click that.

Now read your post and tried it out on IE. Now that's a huge difference . What exactly causes this problem though, ain't the forum suppose to be universal between browsers?

It's even missing the tabs on top such as New posts and stuff ...and the slogan .

^yeah that's a known issue. This site really doesn't like IE (which is a buggy piece of crap)

Lol oh ok, hope they find a way around that issue. Not much of a IE user, prefer Firefox so it doesn't really bother me.

The thing is that this dark skin was coded by Baez. He did a lot of CSS work to get it looking like this. While doing so, he removed some aspect that were originally in the vB skin CSS that we felt were not needed. Well now it has caused a issue with IE displaying properly.

All the other browsers display properly and IE8 should as well. But it is the way that IE8 handles certain code which is causing this issue. We have yet to find the specific code which is causing this. With Baez being unavailable at this time due to prior commitments there is no time frame on when we will get it fixed.

I have made note of these items and more in the Welcome Thread with some links as well for certain items so that they can still be used within IE.
