Trouble changing avatars

Hey guys. Keep getting this message when I try to change my avatar:

"That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 80 by 80 pixels."

The image I am trying to give the url to is only 70x70.

Any suggestions?

Ummmm, that image is 100px x 100px

It is???.. The site I got it from says it is 70x70.. The tab title when you are looking at the pic also says it's 70x70. And I've also tried this with a very tiny photo (50x50).. Same result ..

I had problems....turned out that a remotely linked gif wouldn't work...but a jpeg did (my keyboard on the left ).

Try converting it to jpeg and then re-linking it.
