Same happened to me after I posted a link in the Hot Deals thread. Chrome wouldn't access it either. Strange...

I have viewed the site in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, IE8 and IE9 Preview 2 without getting that error. So either the error corrected itself or i have to get Larry to look into it.

Baez has made a new "Hot Deals Thread", said the other one is experiencing database issues.

It looks like a site that was posted was bad. As MBAM is popping up saying it has blocked access to an IP address on the last page. Which happens to be the same page that is showing this error.

Could it have been a link posted? I accessed the thread, went to do a quick reply with a hot deal link, and then it timed out trying to post. I tried refreshed a couple of times. After that I couldn't see my post or access the thread at all. But, I could see that I had the last post via the regular Forum view..

I broke'd it!

It wasn't your fault. The database stored the site incorrectly and then vB couldn't parse the link.
