I think I'll try an image and get rid of the problems altogether.

edited it with the quotation marks. background still doesn't show in IE.

Also, IE isn't rendering transparency properly in my signature PNG. it's just black where it has any transparency.

It works in Firefox, and Opera; It's just an IE problem.

I never actually noticed my signature transparency not working properly in IE, until I tried it just before.

IE7 supports PNG, IE6 doesn't. No Alpha transparency or something. And full transparency is grey I think, in IE6.
