Tech-Forums is the only site on the server.

New server:

Dell PowerEdge 2850
Dual Processor, Intel Xeon 3.2 GHz
4 GB Memory
2 x 146 GB SCSI 15K RPM
RAID 1
Redundant Power

This server will also host two other sites, but both sites are low volume/low traffic.

We should see a nice bump in performance. Larry has already said that vB and VBSEO are set up and working fine, so once Tech-Forums is imported into it we are done.

^sweet server, can't wait. Some of the bugs have gotten a bit annoying, but they are understandable.

PS. Does anyone know why t-f was down last night?

I don't think it was the migration, but it does seem to be working a bit better lately.

Luke no i don't know why but it was fine all night for me - it might be your connection.

An sweet is a understatement - we will be able to run TF for a long time before we need to upgrade it again.

^nah, i asked carnage on msn and it was down for him also (it said some sort of database error)

I got a DB error as well. It only lasted about 5 minutes or so for me. Then i was able to get right back on.

soo...has it happened yet? TF seems to be very fast for me right now but it could be traffic related?
