[*****y rant]
Can I put in a request for warnings before potentially offensive attachments/links? It might already technically be a rule, but it's really obviously not enforced. I've accidentally opened dozens upon dozens of pictures of naked/almost naked women that I really have absolutely no desire to see, and they have no warning whatsoever.

I mean, I recognize that most of the members here are middle-aged sexually frustrated males, but still... (just kidding, guys! Most of you are in your 20's) Couldn't we have warnings before links/attachments like this, this, and this, just to name a few?

And I got MBs back so if you PM him and he's not around, you can PM me and it will be taken care of.

well i can kind of see what you are saying, but by american standards that kind of stuff is okay. i mean this is the same thing you can see on magazine racks, television, and PG-13 or PG movies.....and they do not need to give warnings about offensive content. i personally see nothing that needs a warning and nothing offensive in those examples you gave.

MB and Guy: Thanks guys. :) I completely understand that it's impossible to monitor everything. I was more asking the members to do something about it than the mods. You guys are doing a great job. :)

ek/esine: PG-13 movies, maybe, but look at the uproar caused by about a nanosecond of Janet Jackson's nipple on TV. (In that case I think people waaaay overreacted, but the point remains that there are obviously people who were offended.) It's not that my eyes are burning in my sockets or anything, it's just unpleasantly surprising. And it doesn't seem fair that things that could get you in trouble with your boss have to be labeled, but things that could get you in trouble with your parents aren't labeled.

I've never posted anything ellicit like that but now I'll be sure not to. I never thought stuff like thatw as too bad, but i guess when you put it that way it is. Good preventative maintenence Em! :D

I agree with the forum rules, posting pornographic material should not and will not be tolerated. Personally, I haven't seen anything graphic enough to merit deletion or ban someone based on the content in the time I've been surfing through the forums (I have seen removals because picture size is too big). I have seen plenty of "controversial" topics, posts and others but never a picture depicting nudity or any sexual material. That picture of Vida Guerra (The girl in the black bikini... which is kind of cute) is not considered nudity, you can see such images (and much more) on TV.

It might be a little difficult to warn someone about "offensive" material due to so much difference in personalities, backgrounds, beliefs etc... What you consider OK, might offend me, what I might consider OK, might offend you. If we stick to the Forum Rules and take them with a grain of salt everything will be OK!!

Like I said, I strongly believe this site has high quality posts, talented members, exceptional mods and ME (J/K) to this day I have not seen a pornographic image on this forum which is a testament to its members and its mod/admin team!!

Keep up the good work guys!

Um... what? When have I posted pictures of naked women before?
Some people will try to suggest that you posted pics like them because you gave examples of what you were talking about. Since you put a link to them, then technically you posted like them.

IMO, you haven't done what they are suggesting. So don't worry about it, Em!

Dave :D
