Date of Birth

Having just signed-up to the Forum, I obviously went and checked my profile as others would see it.
Even though I checked my details again using the edit profile facility, my D.O.B. still reverts to Dec 31 1969???
I can only assume that it doesn't accept dates before Man landed on the moon......
