Website help

saved it right here as hello.php: C:\AppServ\www

I type in this: http://localhost/hello.php

I get nothing

Would it matter if I have dreamweaver installed on my pc?

Edit: I think appserv isntalled wrong or something. Also, this is a school computer, so my permissions may be limitted somehow.

I tried to reinstall but it said problem installing C:\WINDOWS\php.ini

Also, when it asked me to put in my server information in the install, I just put in what I wanted to name my website. I mean, isn't this pc supposed to be the server?

Go to Start> Programs> AppServ> Control server by service> Apache Start, and MySQL start.

Try it now.

What about the file that wouldn't install? I just have to ignore it every time. I tried install the 2.5.10 or whatever and the 2.6.0. It happened with both.

I'll be able to try tomorrow in school.

I don't know why it's trying to install the php.ini to Windows .....

That doesn't work either. I guess I'm just going to have to try something else.
