I need to set up some security for my website to protect login. checkout etc etc. My server is offering a free 'Shared ssl cert' or I could buy an 'Individual ssl cert.' from them for $139.. the question is.. do i really need an 'individual ssl cert.' or would a shared cert be adequate?? Whats the difference anyway? I've read that i would need to acquire a dedicated ip to use ssl but is this for both shared and individual? I've read loads of topics but none so far have really covered this subject, so please help.
