My Website got hacked!!!

My website today got hacked $@#^^$^#
It was idle for quite some time, i knew there was a hacker already targeting my site with a SPAMming and creating lots fake memberships.

I just cant figure out but how do these guys get access to the server. Any clue?

where you using a portal like phpnuke? their security really sucks and people keep getting hacked that use phpnuke portals. Plus your free hosting probably isnt the safest.

Any portals or forum systems provide excellent gateways for hackers. Try switching to a safer host and be sure you have all sercurity patches for any software you use. It could also be an apache problem. I learned the hard way to keep apache servers up to date.
