I would say either is good. Maybe if you're paranoid of hackers you may go to the Linux hosting for a feeling of security, but the truth is no system is 100% safe unless it's not connected to the internet.

If you are running your own private server, I would recommend linux for it's low resource demands and free avaliability. But for shared plans, I would agree with funggorgor and fozzynetworks - it depends on what types of scripts you want to run.
And Araunah, your site works fine. With the sort of redunancy a web hosting company must have, it would be very surprising to see it down.
