linux or windows hosting?

Is it better to go for linux hosting or windows hosting?

i checked some price plans and it seems that windows hosting is offered at higher price plans.

Generally i recommend linux hosting
Will you use a programming script?
If you use asp script, then choose Windows hosting
If you use php script, then choose Linux hosting

I will say windows is better but some people are gonna think I am biased. Concerning the price, You can start hosting on windows with a $5 plan so it's not really more expensive than Linux.
