I have installed and enabled KF webserver on my computer here. It is working fine.

I use it for storing images and documents to share with others and Forums. My problem is when I right click the images to copy image location, I am provided with my internal LAN IP URL.

http://192.xxx.xxx.xxx/

This is not what I need to provide external boards and users access to my server. If I do use it, my image does not appear on the bulletin board for the rest but I can see it here!

I need the external WAN IP to be encoded in the image so when I right click it and save image location, I see my external url:

http://82.xxx.xxx.xxx/ etc. Incidentally, when I do this the image posts to the bulletin board but does not show on the board for me! Not that that really matters as I can see the image on my second browser screen.

It is irritating and time consuming to correct for each image I wish to have accessed from outside! I can alter my address to my external WAN URL, and I have done so. It then works fine.

Is this an issue with Windows or with the KF webserver? I have tried Abyss with identical results, other than KF is a speedier and better package to use.

I am on 512K ADSL. broadband XP3200, 1GB ram. Windows XP home. with all patches etc installed. My ADSL modem is a Zoom X4 model 5551 and a net Lynx 8 post router.

Has anyone have an idea how I can get round this problem??

Tom.

I dunno how good the KF webserver is, but i had good experiences with apache in windows. Try it, it may work.
