FTP dowload directories and subdirectories

I'm using a freeware ftp server, cuz I'm cheap. And I can't dowload full directories off of the server. I have to download them one at a time. Is there a freeware ftp server, or accessory program, that I can use to download all the directories and their contents? (I'm using one that's called "easy file sharing web server")

If you have proper permissions set, you should be able to download entire directories. I would think the problem would be the client, not the server.
