Hello Everyone!
It's been a long time since I've posted here. Well, I'm back.
Anyway, I was thinking about providing webspace for a SMF community forum to one to two - maybe 5 (in time) - random people on the internet for the purpose of testing out how different hardware handles varying loads in a server-type environment. If I do end up doing this, whoever gets the spot will benefit from a completely ad-free spot to house their forum.
The only catch is that, like Google's Gmail, this is an experiment - and could be terminated at any time (heck, I may not even go through with this). If I do end up hosting someoneÂ’s forum and need to terminate the service, I'll back everything up and provide the user with all data necessary to rebuild the forums on another server.
Everyone! - Let me know what you think of this idea.
