In the future I want to learn how to web host and maintain a company and I had some curious questions.

BANDWIDTH
What is bandwidth technically?
Why is bandwidth important for a web hosting business?
Where do you get it from?
How do you use it?
What companies sell this?

DOMAIN NAMES
How can I be a domain name provider? (like godaddy)
How can i acquire all things required? (dns, etc?)

bandwith is the amount of data that can be transferred per second. the more bandwith you have, the faster the hosting will be.

bandwith depends on where you get your internet connection. dial-up is too slow for any server except if there are maybe 1 or 2 users, and even then it can be too slow.

for a server, you really should have cable or ADSL as a minimum.
