Hi. I'd like to back up my website, which is hosted on a remote Linux server. I do not have telnet access, but I have access through FTP and the Plesk 7 control panel. I would like to back up all of the HTML files, MySQL databases, and stored email. Please let me know what the easiest way to do this with my Windows machine. Thanks.

I noticed that Plesk has a "backup" feature for each domain. Does this backup all of the data, or just the configuration information?

I think it should backup all of the data.

I did some poking around and it seems it all goes into a single backup file that only Plesk can read.

This means that you can't just extract your e-mails or database, web site from it as you please.

That is a huge drawback if you ask me.

Otherwise the other option is to manually download/backup your html files and also backup your MySQL databases from phpMyAdmin

if you have phpmyadmin its best to export all the database into a .sql file.
regarding the files - you should download them to your computer whenever you make changes.
