Twitter Struggles To Remain Stable

I have been reading that twitter has been struggling to stay up part of the reason is the soccer world cup. It's a good problem to have this shows the popularity of twitter and how that service has grown. Twitter has done a few things to help with the problem they have actual started throttling there refresh rates on TweetDeck and Echofon just to help the issue. Twitter also reduced the number of API calls from 350 to 175 at one point last week the API rate was down to 75. There was a similar issue around the time of the WWDC the day the Iphone 4 debuted.

Yeah, I've had massive issues with twitter.

Considering the new one is expected to handle a LOT more traffic, they better ramp up server QUICK!!
