Domain: Old, but not hosted .net or a new 10 yr registered .com

I have a dilemma. I am about to put up another 20 sites. I can either use one of my old domains from 2001, but hasnt been hosted at all, most are

.net

OR

I can pick up a new domains, register them ten years, and be good to go. Just wondering what everyone thinks. Will the aged domain give me the

boost I need or should I just stick with the new domain and 301 the old domains to the new one?

What does everyone think?

It depends. Does your old domain have a good pr standing? If it does, and if the name fits your site, then use it. If not, it is a good idea to register your domain.
