Hey, my website is pretty much broken. The website is www.petercort.com. I can connect to it through dreamweaver and cuteFTP with no problems, and I can upload my index.htm file with no problems. I've got the correct directory to put the index file it just doesn't show up. the service I go through has a troubleshooting wizard and this is what comes up when I run it.
Site: petercort
OK: The site is currently enabled.
Problem: Access to http://petercort.nfshost.com/ is denied. Usually this is because you must either upload a correctly named index file or enable automatic directory indexing.
OK: This site is also called: www.petercort.com.
OK: The domain name is petercort.com
OK: The domain name petercort.com was found and has 2 name servers.
OK: Your domain registration is correctly configured to work with NearlyFreeSpeech.NET DNS.
OK: The name server ns.phx6.nearlyfreespeech.net. is working.
OK: The name server ns.phx8.nearlyfreespeech.net. is working.
OK: ns.phx6.nearlyfreespeech.net knows about www.petercort.com.
OK: www.petercort.com is properly CNAME'd to petercort.nfshost.com.
OK: ns.phx8.nearlyfreespeech.net knows about www.petercort.com.
OK: www.petercort.com is properly CNAME'd to petercort.nfshost.com.
OK: www.petercort.com is a valid alias and has valid DNS.
Problem: Access to http://www.petercort.com/ is denied. Usually this is because you must either upload a correctly named index file or enable automatic directory indexing.
any ideas?
Also it works if I put in a .htaccess file in to enable generic site indexing.
