Vector Formats

I recently designed a logo for my parents in photoshop, the logo will mainly be used on letters forms etc. so i need to be able to insert it into MS documents, as a vector, so i can resize however i want there. what format does it need to be saved in, I've heard about eps, but i don't know if word accepts that

Ok, so i put it into eps and then inserted that into word, but then it came it out poor quality the adges were all jagged

when you saved it to EPS in photoshop was in RBG/8bit mode? i've noticed when using index color and i try to save it as another format it gets all crappy looking.

edit: woops, i assumed you were using photoshop. is that the case?
