We are seeking a Graphic Designer.
Tricastmedia makes mobile email inevitable through a unique suite of application functionalities, which deliver intuitive and rich user experiences on small screen devices. With companyÂ’s offices in the UK, US and Asia, Tricastmedia partners with the worldÂ’s foremost mobile technology companies to set a new standard of mobile email solution on mobile handsets.
Tricastmedia are in a position to extend their current graphic design capabilities, primarily to be involved with the design and creation of icons for mobile phone software. The sizes and details of the icons will vary, and will include animation as well as static icons. Each will need to convey information to users around the world. Some icons will be designed using 3D animation modelling software, while others will be drawn pixel by pixel.
The work will be within a team skilled with Macromedia Flash. Instructions may be written or informal, so the successful candidate must be willing to work both with formal specifications, critical deadlines and evolutionary developments. The work will primarily be located in Braehead, Glasgow.But some flexibility in working conditions may be negotiated. The successful candidate will be given some liberty to specify their preferred equipment.
The job may also involve other design work such as page layout, font glyph design, corporate branding and logos, writing, web design, exhibition posters, or consulting on graphic design issues for other engineering projects.
Education/Qualifications
HND or above in fine art, graphic design, computer aided design or illustration.
Skills/Experience
Candidates must have at least 1 years working experience in Flash design and graphic design for websites. Expertise is essential with:
• Flash Animations
• Web Design
• Icons
• Logo Designs
Experience in communicating with people from other cultures, and in capturing fashion trends in design will be valuable. Successful candidates must have a proven track record and experience in contemporary creative flair.
You must be comfortable using 2D and animation softwareÂ’s such as:
2D:
 Adobe Photoshop
 Adobe Illustrator
 Adobe Indesign
 Macromedia Freehand
Animation:
 Macromedia Flash
Web Editor:
 Macromedia Dreamweaver
We will be looking to see your portfolio in particular any examples of animated graphics (vector or raster), web designs, images.
